Ask us to step in doesn't work anymore I lost money, thanks ebay

I opened case agains seller who never sent me goods or issued reufnd. I been waiting over month for option "ask us to step in" which never appeared. My case was closed and when I tried to appeal it says that this option is not available anymore.

Effectively I lost my money with no way to appeal or contact ebay. I will stay away from this broken thieves ridden website.

When you open a case in time, ie. within 30 days of the delivery estimate on the order, the option to ask Ebay to step in appears after 8 full days.  If it never appeared for you, that will be because you opened the case too late. Cases can be opened after 30 days, but for communication with the seller only.

The good news is that you have 180 days from purchase date in which to open a case in PayPal.

I bought item on 23 March and opened case on 29 April, Its a bit silly that I can't escalate it despite being robbed by unfair seller. I gave it a bit more time because of COVID outbreak, my mistake. I'm escalating it with Paypal now, thanks for advice @rusticrye.

how long after buying the item did you open the case?

if you open it after 30 days the option to escalate isn't available, as the MBG only covers the first 30 days.
