So many 'item not recieved' claims

Was told to repost on the Business Seller forum, so, since the change to free listings for private sellers I have had alot more 'item not recieved' claims. I have never had this many so close together and wondered if any other Business Sellers had noticed the same?

So many 'item not recieved' claims

Are buyers not getting the items or are ebays estimated delivery dates what drives buyers to open cases prematurely?

Do you check the tracking to see if they get delivered after you refunded?

The purchase history page also shows which items are "untracked" which makes it easier for those who wish to make fraudulent INR claims..

It is a busy time for couriers and postage so definitely allow a bit longer till christmas. They cant open a claim till after the estimate so if need be put a longer delivery estimate and make sure the tracking is in place as I think they also cant open a claim on delivered orders although dont quote me on that.

I never check the delivery after a refund, good idea thanks.

Ebay estimated delivery dates are a bit of a joke to be honest, especially as most buyers choose the free 2nd class post option I offer.

If none of the items show  as delilvered then you can assume they arent getting delivered for some reason. If the common denominator is you, then you need to look at your packaging

Are labels coming off? Some labels do not stay stuck to grey mailing bags and come off in the post

Are they printed in ink that runs as soon as it gets wet? Do you put your return address on parcels? If so are any of them coming back to you?

It could also not showing as not delivered because the post person has not bothered to scan the package before putting through door. I get a lot of this with the mail I send out, it's all tracked but I would say about a quarter of it isn't scanned at the end and shows as not delivered. It is a pain especially when you pay extra for tracking.

Always found this time of year it's best to move your dispatch time. Post can get slow and some people will race the postie to open a cliam so it gives you more time for it to be delivered if you add in some extra days.

I dispatch daily but have it set at 10 day dispatch. I used to add to the listing that the extra time was to allow for slow postal service this time of the year and they would be dispatched daily, never slowed sales down and the people that do race the postie are put off by the extra time so my none received item claims go down

I sold my phone, my money was frozen and they won't transfer it to me, there are holidays ahead, no payments, but they will just take me to buy it with my own money, I didn't receive my phone, and I still haven't seen that money.
