Sales Notifications stopped

For the past week I have not received any Email notifications when items have sold. Is it me or is this another broken Ebay thing ? The notifications are essential because unless I sit in front of my PC all day I have no indication as to when an item has been bought GRRRRRR.

Had same as you notifications have disappeared. Although have not many sales this month

Same here - very frustrating as I had four sales and knew nothing about it!

  Others have been reporting issues ,  as you can see from this thread,  with printing postage labels,  also the lack of notifications  from eBay for various things,  sold items,  purchased items,  dispatched items,  all seem to be in the  'missing tray'.

I did see on a post somewhere  ' back then',   we were informed it's a site issue,  eBay are aware,  and working on it.

It's a case then,  of how long is a piece of string, as to when it all will be back to norm.

I've just found a sale from yesterday I didn't get a notificaton for.  My previous sale to that was 23rd December which I was notified of so I can't say for certain when it started.   This ebay fault is nothing new to me - I've seen it happen several times over the years, though it must be at least a year since I last saw it.

dave@ebay  Hi Dave.  I've just checked in my records and the last few occasions I and others have been affected by this fault, your colleague Katy helped to get it resolved but I see she has now moved on. Is this something you could help with please by giving your techies a nudge?   It is so easy for sales to be missed and reputational damage to occur.

This just happened to me. Didn't realise I had an order until the customer chased me for it. I lost the sale due to the lack of eBay notification and subsequent delay.

This happened to me back in January, just all of a sudden, one day I had notifications and the next I didn't and I hadn't altered anything myself.

I managed to resolve the problem by going into 'Account Settings', 'Communication preferences' (located under account preferences), then 'Seller', 'Selling activity Edit your selling notification preferences'.  Item sold was unticked so I ticked it and I got the email notifications again.

Hopefully this may be of help to you or some others.

@kestrelelec Interesting.  I knew of the setting but wouldn't normally check it when this fault periodically surfaces, for the simple reason that it magically gets sorted when seriously hacked off sellers start posting on here AND it is clear from moderators postings in the past that there was indeed an issue.  We had no such feedback on the fault that prompted this latest thread on the subject, so maybe there is more than one cause and I'll check next time.  

@aread9  Sorry to hear you lost a sale.  I haven't tried it myself (my smartphone is a bit old and running low on memory due to more important apps) but I understand that the ebay app can have push notifications enabled - and that mechanism is app directly to device I believe, so it might mitigate a failure of email.

Better mitigation would be if ebay got to the bottom of the fault(s) it obviously has of course 🙂

I have 4 separate eBay accounts, I am not getting notified on numerous sales, not getting email notifications, even with different email accounts. Keep getting shipment  overdue when I log on to account, once in while we may get a sale made through email, this is not ok, PLEASE FIX THIS eBay!!

Well, I tried to load the Android ebay app to test my theory about push notifications being a safety net if email notifications are failing - but it seems my dear old Moto running Android 8 aint good enough to run it.
