Just to bring some more seasonal cheer, Royal Mail have indicated that prices will rise for the 4th time in 12 months to offset some of the tax increases levied on businesses - I have no doubt other carriers will do the same.
Wait for ebay fees to increase as well - could be looking at the next recession in 2025 !
Happy new year to all !

Before end of year for something not coming in until april!
Talk about exploiting a situation

Well their poor share holders and bosses really can't afford to take less of a cut can they.

Another nail in eBay’s coffin then. Nothing much selling now so reduce margins for sellers, or try to pass the cost on will just cut sales further.

It'll be even more of a cheek if ebay increases its fees in addition to their usual auto-increase on the RM increase, for doing absolutely nothing.
Most of ebays employees don't work in the UK and most of those that did have have been replaced by robots.
It'd be more to the point if RR started proper HMRC investigations into ebay's (and the other selling sites) real level of profit made in the UK and what their actual tax liabilities would be without "sweetheart deals".
I bet their unpaid taxes would fill any Black Hole far quicker and more cost-effectively than freezing pensioners or chasing thousands of sellers for selling 31 old frocks.

Interesting - we have already taken legal action against their Fuel Surcharge as it has not been reduced since mid 2022 when the fuel cost has dropped by 25%. Technically now it should have stood at 6%, not 8%! Thousands of pounds overpaid here if asked.

Where has it been announced that Royal Mail prices will increase before the end of the year?
I've read that IDS (Royal Mail's owner) has stated they "can't rule out" job cuts and increases to stamp and parcel prices as a result of the increase in employer NICs. But so far there's no timescale nor any confirmation that it actually will happen any time soon.
