What is going on at eBay?
No sales, no offers no response to offers, last sale 15 hours ago and counting. I sell worldwide, all listings promoted, TRS, eBay premium service, fast and free, NO SALES.
Everything's collapsed since mid march/early April.
Something changed at eBay during this time that has collapsed my sales and views prior to that time I had regular sales, and offers throughout the day and night, from all over the world.
Suddenly nobody wants to buy what they were calmouring to buy previously.
This is nothing to do with the economy so please don't wheel out that lazy excuse.

Bad sales feed on themselves.
No sales so you then dont buy anything making other sellers sell less.
On the other hand good sales feed on themselves.
Someone sells a load of stuff so they have to buy in new stock.

Strange you say that. E-bay has become one of the best places to buy car parts. In fact I think as a specialist parts place it is probably one of the best places online...I sell parts...not for cars...but still...they have a very good market for parts.

Yep - me too on car parts. My old Saab had been off road for three weeks - garage was struggling to get to the bottom of things - see my feedback - I found an ebay Saab specialist - two guys listened to me drone on about every single symptom of my 15 year old car - advised me what was wrong - sold me a part - discussed returns if it didn't work - threw in spare spark plugs special for Saabs for free as that might / but might not have been exarcerbating problem - then when the item arrived next day (it was 3 day postage) I found I also had two more free gifts. Mind-blowing service and knowledge. Car fixed by the way. Ebay at its finest.

The trouble with eBay is you cannot be competitive dues to them charging such crazy fees.
They do not understand basics. They spout about increases in costs as if we are all too thick to see through them.
If in basic terms the followng happens.
2022
item was costing us £100 we sell for £200 freepost because there is no such thing but ebay dont like you seeing how much they are taking for doing nothing.
so from the £200 at 10% fees eBay made £20.
2023
The item now costs us £110 and we have to sell for £220 therefore without increasing fees ebay make £22
You also have to remember that your final price loses postal costs which ebay then also take 11% of. so no need to increase their costs the natural economics gives them increases.
Plus ebay has a shop window for us all and we apy for that. then if you need to be actuall at the shop window fron to be seen you have to offer more money if you dont them you are at the back out of site behind all the big boys.
Now that item costs us

If only the fees were 10%.

Best selling items stopped selling. Almost no sales over the weekend. I assume related to the crash last week.

Prior to last weeks 'search glitch' I was on course for my usual bumper summer. Due to last weeks 'search glitch' my sales have plummeted. Hoping it will not take long to fix itself but really enough is really enough. eBay need to be held responsible for these actions and lack of service WE are paying for. No one would accept this level of ineptness from any other 'service' they have purchased so why is it allowed here?
Action really needs to be taken to stop them making these totally unnecessary 'improvements' which 9/10 times ends up breaking vital parts of the platform which consequently dents sales and believe it or not harms people's likelihoods.

250 items ended and shop downgraded to basic. I can always upgrade if things pick up, but I'm not holding my breath

What crash ??
Last Wednesday I believe there was a massive issue with Shops having no content, search results giving no results etc etc.. it's mentioned a few places on here but again another costly bug that needed fixing but was probably okay before they tried to improve it...

Action really needs to be taken
I always think the best action is to vote with your feet and go elsewhere.

Got sent a offer on a single that I looked at on the eBay app (I did not put it on my watch list) so I got a idea I sent offers on 7 7" singles I had up for sale for 3 months and over the weekend I have sold 5 of them.

Nice. Seems like lately my offers are not "getting through". Last few weeks I have sent about 30 offers, good offers (on items that were already cheaper than anywhere else). No takers!

It's a sad state of affairs, I am now getting maybe one reasonable sales week a month the other weeks don't cover fees. I do promote, remove listings, tweak others, add new stock constantly. Other sites are performing well. I'd put it down to swings and roundabouts but it's been about 3 months now I've never had a dry spell on eBay last more than a week so I'm pondering a total shift to sites that are offering greater sales potential consistently.
EBay definitely feels like the poor cousin of all other marketplaces right now
