New Defect Removal policy

Just in case you are not aware, as o fnow there is a new aproach by eBay to defects and thier removal:

Seller help is changing

Seller help is becoming more personalised, and we're making it easier for you to request the removal of feedback, defects and late deliveries. See "Suggestions for you" below for help with a recent order, or to make and manage requests.

That is quite concerning, especially when it looks like the option to have some removed has gone. Apparently, you can request now to have it looked into - I guess we know the outcome. It took as 5 weeks  last time, and 4 agents to get a batch removed eventually. Now, duer to flooding in our area just last week we got 10%+ extra to our Late Delivery Defect rate despite still dispatching on time.

There was an announcement 2 weeks ago saying we would be protected, with an update to follow 'in the coming days':

So far, none of agents was interesting in removing any defects as supposedely we 'should not be worried' prior to the next evaluation. Having been here on eBay for 18 years, actually I am worried as like in most cases, you cannot simply rely on Customer Service and anything thay say. It would not be surprise if we lost out Top-Rated status just to fight for it with the same people that said it woul dbe fine...

Any thoughts?
