Cancelling Royal Mail Business Account

Has anyone cancelled their RM business account? I filled in the necessary form on 12th March to cancel mine on 31st March. Typical  RM customer service I have heard nothing, zilch, nada except for the auto acknowledgement email which gives you a reference number.

Now something very weird has happened this morning. Not long after I got my RM business account I purchased a Zebra printer GK420d. I plan on continuing to use this printer and will buy the labels through eBay as there is now no benefit to a RM business account. Today I went to print a label for a purchase and my Zebra printer is not on my list of available printers. It was showing in my devices but saying the driver was out of date which it was not as another click told you the drivers are up to date. Long story short and nearly two hours later I have fixed it so my question is, is this anything at all to do with me cancelling my account from 31st or is this sheer co-incidence.

No, it's got nothing to do with your printer installation.

It just can't have, literally, unless they have access to your PC, which they shouldn't have.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I have had the Zebra printer since 2020 and never ever had an issue with it. Must be a very strange co-incidence.

How did you actually get it working in the end?

I had to uninstall and reinstall. The hard part was changing all the setting so it prints the right size, that is what took the longest 😂

There is an additional piece of software that you can install.  I can't remember the name of it offhand, but it makes amending the settings a whole lot easier.

But if you search for software for the printer on the manufactures website, it will tell you.

It was the only way I could get mine working when I first installed it.  But not on the work PC atm.
