I had a non delivery claim opened yesterday.
It was a cheap record sent as 2nd class large letter and I honestly never add the tracking for these as its still hit n miss whether Royal Mail scan these on delivery + there is no visible proof of collection however this one they did. Anything over a tenner and its sent tracked.
I did get a rude message off the buyer last week to which I apologised and told him it would be there any time and according to royal mail number it was delivered the next day.
As soon as the claim came in I added the tracking, within a short time the funds were released but the claim is still open. I click order details and the red has gone + funds available.
What is going on here?, surely its still open and the funds should be on hold or I won and the funds released.
Also am I protected in any way against negative feedback where proof of delivery is shown?, this buyer is very trigger happy so I fully expect it but also what was all that hype about protecting business sellers?, id hope this would help here.

Entering tracking into the case details should close it in your favour if it has shown delivery, have you entered those numbers?
Depending what the buyer leaves, if they leave, any feedback , could be a case for removal. There are feedback rules to follow.
Come back to us if they do.

Yeah it feels like its closed in every way short of actually being closed.
I'll play it by ear and see what happens.
