Some get lost in the post.
A very small number may get stolen.
Some people we write to do not get requests passed to them, either for a very long time, or not at all.
Some people do not like signing.
Some people do not mind signing, but do not get round to it for a long time.
Sometimes requests are gone for a long time and postage rates go up making your reply envelope invalid for a return.
You move house and redirection ends - anything outstanding from before then can be written off.
We mistakenly write to incorrect addresses.
Some people pass away while requests are out there.
There are probably many other reasons why replies do not get to us, but the good news is that most do come back. 🙂
