posted my first few ttm request

well,

 thanks for the great advice from all of you to help me get started,today i've just finished my first few requests,they are mainly off uk tv shows something simple to start off with

they are;

jorgie porter,jennifer matcalfe,tina hobley,rosie marcel,olga fedori

and i will keep you all informed of my succes/failure and i will post any autograph pics i get returned

good luck, wouldnt send to too many Oaks ones though Ive had no luck in the past just some letter saying they wont sign photos and dont have their own etc

thanks for that, i only sent out 2 request to hollyoaks and going to try a few other uk shows before trying my luck sending some requests to usa,

i would have sent out requests to usa first but i've been told you can't  use our stamps on s a e's over there and i've been struggling to get usa stamps over here,any tips? anyone

We do have some members over in the USA members tend to swap stamps...we need the US stamps and they need UK ones.

good luck with the ones you have sent out.  For my US requests I change some money up at the travel agents and send $5 with each request to cover postage

One tip. If spreading your wings internationally (USA, etc), buy some flat electronic scales for weighing your own reply envelopes to get a better idea of postage. and then you can use the usps website to find postage rates back to you. The usps charges extra if you have an envelope that cannot be bent, so important you take this into account as well if using a board backed envelope or custom stiffener. Some USA stars can take over a year or two to reply, so I also add a little extra postage to cover any future postal increases.
