pc probs

have bad virus again:-( however i suspect its been there for weeks,as my pc has been slow,,kept getting avg multi critical items alert, when i deleted the items detected, the same box would appear again evey minute or so,when i tied to scan for a virus,it wouldnt allow me to access the avg software, also wont allow me to access internet explorer either,so in the meantime i borrowed a 10 year old office pc,and its very slow, with only 256k memory ram, takes 3 minutes to load a page on here, ive oredered a new pc,should be with me soon i hope:-)  is the description of the virus

Have you tried reformatting your pc and re-installing the operating system? It's pretty much the only safe way to clean the pc when a virus gets on.

No fun at al when this happens. Mind you, if your current virus ridden pc is old as well, it may well be a great opportunity to replace it.

We have been using Mesh Computers at work for the last 18 months. Very impressed with them for price versus quality. We used to be Dell buyers for the 10 years prior to that.

Fingers crossed it proves to be a good pc for you Daz. It is a decent spec for it's age, and should be a good pc for you.

They have kept the price down by loading it with Open Office, and other freeware which is sensible. I use Foxit for pdfs instead of Adobe. Also, no warranty which some sellers add into the price or charge separately for.
