Here is my reply. Obtained when Debbie was at the Apollo Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue last Spring. The reply came 7 days after I wrote via venue, and was posted in London. I think it compares well with the in person examples on isitreal and does not have the secretarial 's'. Please click the attachment link above to see the full size scan. The pic is signed three times. I welcome comment about it's authenticity.

must admit i was of the opposite opinion that her ttm were secs, however having looked at other ip examples,i believe them to be different than the ttm, what threw me intially was that the isitreal poster pointed to two key points in the drawing of his conclusion, one being that the always loops back to the left on te secs, but is slightly to the right on genuine examples, this is always the case, and the best way to tell the difference between the two
ip genuine sigs posted as examplars on isitreal
below,isitreal posted secs

last year, debbie was appearing in theatre in the uk, i and nigel were lucky enough to get replies back via the venue,i recieved 3 back, here is the first one,as you can see it matches up the same,as with what the isitreal poster implies are genuine examples,ie closed to the right

now, here are the other two i sent,at the same time as the one above, however you can notice that the the one,so that indicates all 3 genuine despite the open

its all getting very confusing, and to add to the mix,its not unusual for a star on tour to have a personal assistant to accompany them,so if its from a venue,is it def genuine? or just more likely

so it looks like miss reynolds secretary has fooled a lot of people for a long time, and i must say,she is probably the best ive ever seen at copying someones signature,,so glad now i wrote two her via venue last year,,,one final point, ive looked through the ttm replies for the last 6 years on a well known pay per view site, and i glad to say, that probably 30 per cent are genuine, and 70 per cent are secs,so she still does sign ttm authentically, but you need to be one of the lucky ones 🙂

Good work Daz, and nice examples Greg - you can clearly see the sec 's' in your USA example.

Nice to see that this thread has made a few people look and check what they have, and not just accept that what they get through the post is authentic.
This also applies to what they may get from dealers as well, as there is no better way to learn about autographs than to study what you have and make comparisons.
I authenticate items every day, and it always fascinates me how i can sometimes see something new in a signature that i may have seen many times before, but that only happens because i have to look and study each and every one.

If you tke some time to read the isitreal site on Debbie Reynolds, then yo will be able to make up your own mind about these.
Its just simply a matter of comparison, which in this case someone else has already done for you by telling you what the tell tale signs are.
There are hundreds of other examples on the isitreal site as well. Why not take a good look for some of the others that you may have in your collection?

norwich,yours are deffo genuine

Going to have to have a look at the isitreal site now as i was given a Debbie Reynolds as a gift. So i guess its time for a little education lesson.
To be honest, i am totally bemused by all this lol:)

I feel like Miss Marple with all this detective work. I too had a reply from Debbie Reynolds last year when she appeared in London. Had to check and it looks pretty good from what has been said.
