A charity shop find for £1.75 yesterday. I found Splash signed by all 3 of them in a charity shop earlier in the year, so it's nice to have this as a companion and signed by all 3 again.

 

 

 

This next find today rates as one of my favourite finds. I think this is a belter.

 

Barefoot Soldier HB 1st 2006 by Johnson Beharry VC and Nick Cook

 

Johnson is a true hero and I could not believe finding this today, and for a mere £4. He was the first living recipient of the Victoria Cross since 1969 and is one of only seven recipients still alive.

 

The book is signed by both Johnson and his co-author Nick Cook (who also dated it), but amazingly Johnson has signed with his full name including middle name. Most examples of his signature I have seen are initial and surname. Over the moon with this find, even more so in a week when we are remembering those who fight to protect our freedom.

Found this yesterday...nice to find something signed after trawling the bok shelves for a while.
a paperbacked edition of " Men of Steel " by Eric Russell.
Eric Russell did his bit in the cold war andhas always been fasinatedby the events of that period. He has worked in many diverse areas since then and for the last 10 years has been a business journalist, The book is based on some of his variedexperiences. Not bad for 50p from the sense charity shop.

Not a charity shop find but....

 

Went onto Amazon market place to buy a few books with the idea of sending them ttm. Haven't done ttm for ages and thought its time to start again.


2 of the books arrived today from the store. ! was Ian Rush autobiography, which I bought for £2.76 including postage. To my surprise, when I looked inside, it was signed by Rush and dated 09.09.98 which was one of the book signing dates. Well pleased. 🙂
