Great finds - I must not be looking properly (or the "Op Shops" in Oz are not of the caliber of UK charity shops) as I have never found a signed book.

A couple more really pleasing charity shop pickups today -

Conflict Of Loyalty HB 1/1 1994 by Geoffrey Howe. Signed and dated. £3

I have had a good year adding former cabinet ministers to my autographed book collection via charity shop finds. Geoffrey was Maggie's longest serving cabinet minster and was also Deputy PM for over a year towards the end of Maggie's time as PM.

The Good Old Days Songbook large format PB 1/1 1980. £2

Very pleased with this. I have nice memories of watching this with my gran when I was younger. I like autographs that relate to happy childhood memories. The book is signed by regular compere Leonard Sachs and producer Barney Colehan who also wrote the forward to the book. Leonard passed away in 1990 and Barney in 1991. It appears to be from a release party as there are also two copies of a BBC promotional letter inside, and before his signature, Leonard added the comment "Thank you for a delicious buffet!" which tickled me.  🙂

Really nice find, Brian. Such a legendary photo on the cover. Some great additions to your collections, Nigel and Alex. I haven't been able to get to a charity shop for a while. I'm getting withdrawal symptoms

Love it Alex - seeing double! Bargain Andy Gray finds.

It's weird how this hobby throws up coincidences like this. I had it myself today. Had a rare rummage through some cheap paperbacks - don't often look at paperbacks, but one shop had quite a few for 20p each. Found two signed copies of Jim Davidson's Close To the Edge book - I already have the hardback. Amusingly, I had posted a request to him before going out this morning as I want to replace the pic I sent last year which was using the crap photo paper I had problems with.
