Two very, very different replies today.
Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo cast signed - 23 days via USA
This is the first of three requests I sent out as surprises for my wife. The reply envelope is addressed to her. I printed the pic and sent it, and it came back signed along with a signed promo card.

David Nicholls - 9 days
The Works have these slipcased gift set editions of David's hit book that was turned into a film. It is not the 2009 1st print, but a 2011 reprint in the slipcase. Nice set though. David kindly signed it, and sent a nice note on the rear of a postcard.

#4 - It's a fabulous book. If you enjoyed that, you would enjoy the book I recommended to David - Sky Burial by Xinran.

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo stirs up a lot of anger with folk who do not like it. You should see the vile bile that posters have directed at someone on fanmail.biz who received a reply. I despair of humanity when I see such nastiness from people. I do not watch it, other than seeing bits when I am in the room and Kelly watches it. She likes the kid Alana who is obviously the star. South Park did a scathing p take of it which was also very, very funny, if cruel.
Like it or loathe it, television has changed, and even I have to admit, sometimes these "scripted reality" shows can be more entertaining than high paid actors and actresses. It is about the personalities, and some are big, and really shine. I still watch Pawn Stars, and I took to Duck Dynasty. Alien worlds to the one I live in, but I find the people interesting and charismatic.
I have long held a view about music that nothing is shit as long as one person likes it, even if a million or more hate it. The same view can be applied to any other form of entertainment.

Well said Nigel. Have not seen the Honey Boo TV show, but I've heard of it (as you say, usually by people mocking it on other shows, but that is usually proof that something has become a success). Well done on the 2 replies.
