I still have not updated my website fully, but have finally caught up with all the images of some recent purchases over the last couple of weeks. Picked up a few cheapy weepies, plus a couple of pre-orders.
Ben Foster signed 8x12 from AFTAL RD for 99p
Aaron Lennonsigned 8x12 from AFTAL RD for £3.30
I recently got the signed Killer Sounds cd by Hard-Fi. I also ordered a signed copy of their Good For Nothing 7" single. Great single from a truly brilliant album.
Watford shirt from 1999 to 2001 signed by AnthonyMcNamee for £4.99.
Pre-ordered the Wretch 32 signed limited double cd set. Really impressed with this album. My strays into the world of rap/r&b are limited. My first was Bullet From A Gun by the late Derek B in 1988, and there have been few in between then and now. Wretch 32 has good lyrics and ideas - it's a strong debut album.
Took advantage of some sale prices on some autographed music releases -
The Bees - I Really Need Love 7" Single - 49p
Burn The Negative - How To Weigh The Human Soul cd album. £1.99
Good Shoes - No Hope, No Future cd album. £1.99
We Have Band - WHB cd album. £1.99
The Vaselines - Sex With An X cd album. £1.99
Nice Nice - Extra Wow cd album. £1.99
Funeral For A Friend - Your History Is Mine: 2002-2009 cd album. £2.99
InMe - Phoenix: The Very Best Of InMe double cd album. £2.99

#9 - Haha! That wil teach me not to look closely. I thought the sig looked a bit wrong, but the pic did look like Ben, and I trusted the AFTAL seller and assumed it was rushed. I can see where both he and I got it wrong. Funny. The Wretch 32 pre-order sold out quickly.

When I was single and going to gigs each week I always checked out the support bands, and listened to radio shows like John Peel to check out new acts. These days I am lucky if I get to one gig a year. 🙂 The internet has been a brilliant way to check out new bands, and in the last few years I have crossed it with autograph collecting. If I see a band promoting a release with a signed version, I will check them out on youtube, their own site, or other places, and if I like them pick up the signed release. It's been a fun way to find out about new bands as well as pickup signed offerings from bands I already enjoy like Hard-Fi. I love the diversity of music and it's power for storytelling or getting a message across, and the creative way people approach it in so many different ways. I often find that many bands who are under the radar of chart listeners produce some of my favourite music.
