Two this week inc. one from Poundland

On Wednesday night I was in Watford town centre at 17:45, so had time to pop into Poundland. I never find anything locally any more, but was pleased to find the following. A Booker prize winner and this book itself was longlisted for the Booker prize.

The Stranger's Child HB 1/1 2011 by Alan Hollinghurst

I did not expect to get anywhere yesterday, but ended up passing through town, so had a couple of peeps in charity shops. Picked up the following for £5. A band photo of Adler's Appetite signed by all four members and dated 2005. It also came with a concert ticket from 2005. Stephen Adler was formerly drummer with Guns'n'Roses.
