Thrilled to get two ordered signed books from two gents of the screen, and two brilliant performers - Sir David Jason, OBE and George Cole, OBE. Just one more book left on order this winter then that's me done unless some bargains crop up.
Sir David was £25 from Coles and George was £15.44 from Amazon.

great buys Nigel, I was after the David Jason one myself but didn't spot it at Coles until it had sold out

I was lucky Greg. Just happened to be online when they emailed, so bought one immediately. It was sold out within minutes. I contacted someone who was after one just after buying mine, and they tried 10 mins later but were too late. It took me by surprise how fast they went. The Beckham book is too rich for me at £150. Hope they do some more affordable versions.

Following on from this. Before buying the signed David Jason book I picked up an unisgned copy for £5 using vouchers in WH Smith and sent it as a ttm. It came back unsigned today with the customary note saying he was busy into 2014 and preprint pic. Not a problem as I have a reading copy as well as a signed copy which is very nice.

Couple of great purchases there. I referred to the Beckham book in a different thread too. It's expensive but i guess given how difficult Beckham is to get nowadays, £150 is a fair price to pay. Sir Alex Ferguson on the other hand, £250 is madness, i only paid it because i'm a huge fan but there really is no justification for setting a book that high, especially for a football manager...even though it happens to be the greatest football manager ever, but still, ridiculous for the genuine fan/collector.
