After the early kick off it was down to McDonalds with Briteny and a qiuck look in a new Charity shop in Accrington .
Picked this one up for 99p......"Grand Inquisiter" Memoirs by Sir Robin Day dedicated to a Mary Martyn. First edition hardbacked edition from 1989.
Sir Robin Day, OBE (24 October 1923 – 6 August 2000) was a British political broadcaster and commentator. His obituary in The Guardian by Dick Taverne stated that "he was the most outstanding television journalist of his generation. He transformed the television interview, changed the relationship between politicians and television, and strove to assert balance and rationality into the medium's treatment of current affairs".
Still had to believe what you can pick up in some charity shops....Quite like this one.

I have to agree, he was definitely one of the best tv journalists and broadcasters. His interviews cut through the crap. I have a couple of his signed books and a signed pic. One of the great tv personalities - a top signed book to find Alex. Tv politics has been dumbed down since his day.
