Two replies today, but neither went as planned, although still very pleased with the first one.
Lee Ross - 15 days
Lee can be hit & miss ttm. Other than his EE card, this is the first time I have managed to get one of my pictures signed on the front by him. I also sent an A to A pic last year, but never got it back. This time I sent a Doctor Who pic and sent him the A to A pic again.
My Doctor Who pic was not returned (main reason for writing), but Lee did sign my A to A pic really nicely, so result with that, and also my 60th A to A cast member. WIll try again with a Doctor Who pic sometime soon.
Pat Jennings - 21 days via Spurs
Pat signed a Watford card for me a few years back. After my recent reply from Jim McAnearney who sent me an old signed team pic he had signed, I thought I woudl send it to Pat as he was the keeper in that pic from his one season at Watford. I also printed a 6x4 pic of him in action for Watford.
The team pic was returned unsigned which was the main item I wanted signed, but the 6x4 was signed and a signed Spurs promo card also sent back.
I could do with some advice about authentcity please, as I am not convinced Pat signed these. The P of Pat seems to have too small a loop from what I have seen before and is the same on both pics I received. They do not feel right. Obviously, I would love to be wrong, but best to check.

tricky one, though the 'p' varies to some extent, the long underline hasnt.
24-05-2011 2:35 PM
on the card photo ni uploaded notice the 'i' is dotted virtually above the 'i' on 'wishes'.

soerry no time to study further, work calls, others may wish to expand the subject.

Nice A to A reply. Pity about the Doctor Who card. I really hope the Pat Jennings is ok Nigel.

Thanks for those examples milly. Here's an in person someone on another forum got -
You make a valid point about the underline. I have yet to see an in person example with that short underline I got which is more like a dash than an underline. Also, as well as being a small P, I have yet to see an in person example where the loop of the P is like an n. In all the in person examples, the loop follows through to clearly be a loop.
Will keep looking.

nice results Nigel, hope the Jenning is real for you and good luck if decide to send the Dr Who pic to Lee Ross again

congrats on lee Nigel and hope the jennings is good for you...spurs do sec for certain players but there usually very poor attempts of the genuine sig and dont always look anything near what an authentic should be which makes me think that yours could be ok...also looking on this page on sports signings and the top pic isnt a full loop and neither are a few further down the page: http://www.sportsignings.com/Northern%20Ireland.htm

Shame about the Doctor Who card but better luck next time.
As for the Jennings,I think it's okay.Whilst there are slight differences with the P and the underline, the beat wishes match up with the others, and secs tend to be write any dedications differently.
