Tony Hapgood - 15 days

The name may be familiar too football fans. Tony is the son of 1930s Arsenal and England legend Eldris Hapgood. Tony played one league match for Watford during his time at the club in 1953 to 1954, and had previously played 7 games for Burnley.

Tony kindly signed my 8x5 Watford card, sent a signed letter and some info about other players, plus a bit more.

This is a bit of a first for me, and have never had this happen before. Tony made copy of my 1953 team photo that has been on it's travels this year, and added several comments about different players. All good stuff, but what I thought was my real team pic at first was also a copy!!! This means Tony still has my original. I was going to thank Tony anyway for the extra info he sent me, but now need to ask about the original of my team pic.

Alex, generous as ever, kindly sent me a signed copy of the Chris Ryan book from his local Works. A most unexpected surprise this morning. Very nice gift from a top man. Thank you.
