Ace Bhatti - 3 days

I have only sent four of my panto requests, but the first one is back super quick. Ace was awesome as the nasty Dr Khan on EE. He kindly became the 8th signature in my 2009 EE Annual, and sent me a signed/ded panto flyer and signed/ded EE card. He looks good as Hook.

great result nigel, when you send  a panto flyer do you ever ask if they can get other cast members to sign it as well??

Carl. I do not send the flyer. Each theatre prints up tons of these. Whenever I send a panto request, I always ask if I can have a signed panto flyer, but do not specifically ask for a cast signed flyer. I leave that up to them. That way, it is a nice surprise if I do get something extra, and my request is not too demanding.

Good questions Carl, and I cannot answer them all fully. I actually have no idea how many flyers have come back signed. Aside from EastEnders cards and my 8x5 Watford cards, I do not keep count of any of area of my collecting. I would guess somewhere between 150 to 200.

My first ever ttm request of any kind which was received on 12th Jan 2000 was me sending two panto flyers to Toyah Willcox via a theatre venue when she was appearing in a normal play. Very different to what I do now. I have sent requests via theatre on and off ever since then, and collected a few signed flyers, but do not request them.

My first panto requests in anger were in January 2006. Back then I was not asking for signed panto flyers, but after receiving some back signed, I started asking for them the following winter, and have done ever since. I love the flyers, and consider them to be mini works of art in their own right. Some people have surprised me occasionally and sent plush panto programmes at their own expense, as well as multi-signed pieces. Some even have special panto promo cards printed which are nice.
