Good evening guys and gals:)
Only had time for 1 knockknock today i'm afraid, but it was a really nice one.
Now then...... This guy is somewhat of a hard one as his son lives right next door to him. I know from previous attempts, that if he see's you going to his dad's house he is out of his like a shot telling you to take a hike or sending you on a wild goose chase.
Anyway, i arrived at the road in which this legend lives and parked the vehicle someway away from the house. I approached the house from the opposite side to which his son lives and slipped into the gateway:) I knocked on the door and soon after there he stood. "Good morning Mr Dunne" I said, shaking his hand. "Good morning" Came the reply in a soft irish accent. " I hope you don't mind me bothering you, but would you please add your signature to my book for me?" He looked at the book and said "Of course i will, where on the front?" "Err no sir on the inside cover" He placed my book on a small table in his hallway and signed it for me. He came back to the door and WHINCED! "Are you ok Mr Dunne?" "Yes, but it's this rib of mine, i must have laid funny in bed last night and it is giving me jip" "Oh, have you been over doing things?"
"No, it happened in 60 whilst playing, someone stuck me in the ribs with his elbow and broke my rib, they cant do anything with it though" He then took my hand and whilst pushing my hand onto his right lower rib said "Feel it?" I replied "Crikey thats a big lump you have there" I think it's because when the rib fused again it created a boney mass and thats what i felt. He then said "I have just had my other hip done so thats another thing out of the way" "Oh thats right i remember you saying the last time i called that you were having your hip done. So you will be back on the course soon swinging the irons soon" I said smiling. " Maybe we'll see" He then spotted The Wilf McGuiness card in the fold of the book and said "How is Wilf? He has a big house" "He is fine and he has just moved to another big house" "Has he, thats good" I then asked Mr Dunne if he would allow me to take a photo and he said laughing " Oh, my goodness, you don't want a photo too do you:) " Yes please " I said. We then posed for the photo, but it would seem that something caught Tony's eye as i took it lol;. I then bid him farewell and to take things easy. "It was nice to meet you, goodbye :)" He said.
It was a real pleasure meeting Tony again:)
Hope you like:)
