After getting this book back from Preston North End at the end of last year with a note saying Sir Tom Finney was to frail to sign and Paul getting a reply back from a private address then the Has Tom signed or Tom's aid saga...I decided to send the book to the address that Paul used to shed more light on the situation, This book was ony a £1 from a local charity shop and as I have another copy signed by Sir Tom and the author, I thought I hadn't much to loose. So the book went back to Sir Tom on the 7th of January..today the book is back signed but not by Sir Tom Finney...we heard that Sir Tom's aid/Driver/Assistant might be signing for Sir Tom, with or without his permission...I'm 99% sure that this is a "Sec" similar to Tom's graph but not the same..The Best Wishes looks far to large for Tom's really nice neat, petite hand writing, No shake as Streeterpingfellow, John, mentioned in an earlier post.
I have uploaded pics of the graph in the boo I got back today along with the other signed book I have plus an index card that I purchaesed from a credible dealer...As for as I'm concerned this is NOT Sir Tom Finney's autograph in my book...So John is right with his doubts..Not saying all the replys of late are not signed by Sir Tom...But this isn't.
Thanks John for the earlier Thread...Cheers.

Sorry to hear about that Alex it would be better getting the book back unsigned .

Unfortunately I agree Alex. The best wishes looks like it's been signed by a younger person, and whilst they've copied the style of Sir Toms autograph, the T and especially the F of his signature aren't right.

Mate, that is a very disappointing reply. Now you have me wondering about my reply. Yes, my Tom Finney is very shakey, but the Best wishes looks similar to yours:( Wish i knew what to believe?
