Time to resurrect this thread for anything related to autographed books. I'll kick off with a purchase today -

Born Wild HB 1st by Tony Fitzjohn, OBE

Tony's new book has recently been released and we picked up a signed HB 1st at half price in a British Bookshops & Stationers promotion. Very pleased as Kelly and I were only saying the other day it looked a book we would both enjoy.

I welcome opinions about this book. It was an eBay purchase for £6.29 and is a HB 1/1. The seller's only other signed item is genuinely autographed (a Joan Collins book), and it compares well with some other examples I have looked at. I think it looks good, but it is nice hear what others think, especially with a sig that could be easily faked.

I finally found a couple of signed books in "The Works" Bookshop today. First is Chris Ryan's latest novel " The Kill Zone" first edition from 2010. Out of the 20 or so books on display there are 15 signed copies...and the 2nd find is Phil Vickery's signed autobiography "Raging Bull" he played a part in both 2003 and 2007 rugby union world cups..this will sit nicely alongside the Jonny Wilkinson signed book I got back TTM last month...again there are another 3 signed books in the pile out on display...pristine and unead condition.. I can't grumble for £3.99 each. Both are hardbacked copies too.

Brilliant stuff Alex - two crackers. They have the Chris Ryan book in my local but none signed. They also have Michael Caine's HB 1st for £3.99 but again, none signed.

Forgot to mention the Michael Caine Book, That's piled high too but nothing signed.

A couple of goodies there Alex. There's never anything signed in the local Works here. I think I might move.

While at Waterstones Piccadilly today for Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant, decided to use up some Waterstones card points, and picked up Celia Imrie's signed biography (already had £4 off), so ended up with a cheap bargain after point deduction as well. I think she is a great actress.

I don't often pay full price for a signed book, but when I saw Hatchards had a few signed bookplate 1st/1st editions of Steven Tyler's book, I had to dive in and get one.They did not have them for long.

Woody & Nord HB 1/1 2003 signed by Gareth Southgate. 99p on eBay.

Picked this up for reading as I heard it was a good book, so nice bonus to get a signed copy. Book is like new - unread.
