Nice to see two more come home. Have not sent any requests for a couple of weeks, so always grateful when older requests come home.

Dame Eileen Atkins - 82 days via theatre

A wonderful actress and screenwriter. I love her influence on Upstairs Downstairs. She kindly signed both 6x4 photos I sent, and added a note to the rear of the second pic.

Adrienne Barbeau - 852 days (2 years 4 months)

This was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. I wrote to Adrienne via General Hospital in the USA while she was working on the show. I sent two 6x4 photos. These did not come back, but Kelly and I each received a nice signed/dedicated 8x10 photo, and sheets about her fan club and signed photos for sale. It was all inside a card folder for protection, and my postage had been taped to the front with extra postage added.

Excellent reply from Dame Eileen, Nigel. Someone I've been meaning to write to.

That's a long wait for Adrienne Barbeau. Are you sure she's working for General Hospital and not the NHS?:-D

Laughing aside Suzanne - I will not knock the NHS. I think it is a fantastic service, and we are lucky to have it. When Kelly was in the ICU this time last year, then the general ward system, I witnessed close hand how hard the staff work, and what a brilliant job they do with limited resources.

#9 Nigel. I totally agree with your opinion of the NHS. The staff are amazing. It's the pen pushers that cause most of the problems, such as the waiting lists.
