Sad news. Me mum was telling me today her claim to fame was she won a nationwide competition many years ago where Pampers (the baby nappies) wanted someone to come up with a 'slogan' to be used on their tv advertisement voiced by Richard Briers. She won a years supply of nappies with the catchphrase "They're Top for Bottoms" 🙂
RIP

So sad to hear the news today. I was due to meet him last year but he understandably cancelled - a real regret now that I didn't get to meet him. R.I.P.

I was saddened to hear this news today. Richard was a lovely entertainer who put smiles on faces. He always seemed to have time for people who wrote to him. I have three pics signed by him for The Good Life, Doctor Who and Roobarb & Custard which span three wildly different tv shows that have given me much pleasure over the years. RIP Richard.

I was a huge fan of Richard Briers (particularly Ever Decreasing Circles) and that's why I wrote to him ten years ago to request an autograph. I have now listed that pic. Sorry if this sounds ghoulish but it will never attract as much attention as it will now and I have bills to pay like everyone else. But more importantly this is now the only way another fan can obtain a photo so I hope it goes to a good home.
