One find for me yesterday.

"The Curious Traveller Through Lakeland" 2nd edition print from 1973 signed on front end page by Local author Jessica Lofthouse who sadly passed away in 1988. Jessica Lofthouse was a well known writer of more than 20 books on the Lancashire countryside and its' history. She died in 1988 leaving a bequest to provide seats in the countryside for walkers to rest their weary bones. I do not know how many of these seats are scattered around the Ribble Valley. She wrote many walking books as well as being an artist and local historian...Not bad for a £1,
