I was very disappointed by yesterday evening's viewing. Normally the Beeb  keeps me entertained, but I felt missed the mark last night.

The One Ronnie was woefully bad.

Doctor Who was not great, nowhere near as good as the episodes from the last series. Picked up a bit in the last 20 minutes.

Strictly? Bah humbug - don't watch it.

Eastenders - the bright spot last night with it's festive doom & gloom doing a great job.

Royle Family - had it's moments but mainly lightweight.

Come Fly With me - was really looking forward to this, but like The One Ronnie it was woefully bad.

Am hoping tonight fares better. Looking forward to the first part of Upstairs Downstairs.

Royle Family is the only telly i watch on christmas day although i was more than a tad tipsy by 9pm so will watch it again later on, agree it was ok but not absolutely brilliant, for me it was funnier when the jokes and one-liners were more discreet and simply dropped into the normal conversation like in the early Royle's, if that makes sense, now they seem to try too hard to be funny and that does not work in large parts, Joe was funnier when he didn't have much to say, Anthony is a bit of a lame character now and of course Nana is a massive loss to the show although i did like the New Sofa episode which many did not

There's always something I want to watch on Christmas day but cant because of having family round I cook for 14......so no time to watch tv
Looking through the TV mag though an awful lot of repeats which really really annoys me 😞

Nashville here we come !

The first part of Upstairs Downstairs last night was pure class and put me into tv heaven. Both Kelly and I cannot wait for the second part tonight. Jean Marsh and Eileen Atkins have pulled a Christmas cracker out of a lacklustre schedule.

The only thing I went out of my way to watch was Poirot: Murder on the Orient Express and I wasn't disappointed. Yes, we know who did it but David Suchet is so utterly convincing as Poirot and this version was way ahead of the film with Albert Finney.

I must admit I don't bother with the telly unless there some football on - however christmas day time to play with the kids toys 🙂 and then a few beers 😄
