My Successes - England Football

Following on from my topics last week showcasing my England Rugby and Star Wars collections, I wanted to start a thread for my England football collection. This is where I started collecting back in 1999 and after gathering around 200 I decided I didn't like my original design so came up with these - which is now consistent across the football, rugby and eventually cricket teams.

So that's the collection so far, I have about another 20 or so that have been signed with different pens to the blue Sharpie that I send, which is awesome - but OCD prevents me from putting them in the completed file

I have loads of addresses to keep sending and will continue posting as I can acquire stamps and Sharpies

Any help with addresses for the Boys of 66 most gratefully received - that's the biggest glaring omission from my collection currently, only Bansky as a positive so far

Just wanted to say thank you for all the kind comments - all of the offers of help and the generally warm welcome.

Inspired to chase some more autos - just packaged up 4 England requests and an England rugby request. Going to find a couple more envelopes to send off a Star Wars one too

SInce being on this board my enthusiasm for TTM requests has been rekindled - 8 requests out this last week .... and here's the first one back and in my opinion in the centre piece of my England collection

I found the address on Fanmail.biz but had it confirmed by one of the very helpful members on here

that's unlucky Mal, I'd still class it as a success (you could always keep it in the toploader) but I'd also be inclined to write to him again explaining what happened

Definitely try again with Chris but great reply from Geoff Hurst, another fine looking collection.

I will write to him again but there are so many players to write to it is frustrating having to send again - plus sending another pen and postage ..... Could have used those resources to get one of the boys from 66 🙂

Only kidding, of course he will get another letter - every England player is of the same value to my collection, 1 cap or 100 caps for 90 minutes they were regarded as one of the best 11 footballers in the country
