Wrote to Les at Millwall where he is assistant manager of the youth team ,Les never played in the full squad for Chelsea but was in the youth team from 74/76.
Sent Les a youth team photo which he signed to the rear + 2 cards and a qustionaire.

THATS A SUPER RESULT SY, I WONDER WHY HE DID NOT SIGN THE FRONT?? DO YOU MIND? AND WOULD YOU SEND IT BACK TO HIM AS I GOT A COUPLE OVER THE YEAR AND WHEN I RETURNED THEM EXPLAINING THEY SIGNED THE FRONT FOR ME, JUST AN OPINION THOUGH SY AS IT IS A SUPERB RESULT..

Now that signing I really like Sy. It brings back many great memories. I lived in New Cross from 83 to 88 which coincided with Millwall reaching the first division. As Northampton were worse than ever at the time I must have watched the Lions play 40/50 times even going to a lot of away games visiting many grounds that are long gone now. I believe Les was club captain, or was it Terry Hurlock? Anyway, Les was Millwall through and through even though he wasn't from the area and the fans loved him for that.
