Hiya guys,
As you know last night i posted the fact that i would be visiting THE LAW MAN today and guess what;) I Did:)
I arrived at Denis's door at 10am this morning, i walked along the long drive and rang the door bell. After about 2 minutes i could hear the jangling of keys and the door being un-locked. Then into the porch came Di, Denis's wife. She asked "Yes " I said " sorry to bother you Mrs Law but is Denis at home?" She said "Yes , but he is not up yet" 10 am and still in bed lol:) So i said "Would it be ok to call back later?" She said " I am going to have my hair done but, i will go up now and tell him that you will call back in half an hour, he might get out of bed !" I said OK, i will call back in a while, i have to go and see David Herd and when i have seen him i will call back" So i left:)
I returned about an hour later, and Di's car was no longer on the drive but Denis's was 🙂 . I rang the bell again, and again. Twice, and no answer. So i thought i would go back to the vehicle and wait a while as he might be in the shower:) Just then my wife called me and we were sat gassing when i saw through the hedge, Mr Law getting into his car!!! GOTTA GO BABE i said to the wife, and ran to catch Denis just starting the engine.............. More will follow soon:) Aint i a tease:)
ONLY KIDDING ha ha ha ha. Now where was i? Oh Yeah. I went up to Denis in his car and said "Hi Denis, it's me again " and to my disbelief he said " Hello Paul, I am really sorry to hear about your Dad, i was going to reply to your letter, but i simply have not had the time" I was amazed to say the least! I then said " Dad was really happy with your message to him Denis, it made him smile with a look of pride, he told everyone in the ward" What can i do for you he said. I said " This will be the last time i boher you Sir, but i would really like you to sign my copy of your autobiography" He said "Of course i will, its a pleasure" "Would you please sign it to Knockknock? You have never signed To knock knock" He said yes. Then his phone rang, i over heard him talking to a person called Stew, about things arriving broken. I didnt earwig too much. Once the phone call was over Denis started to sign my book. as you can all see, this he did:)
I then asked him "How is the wrist" He said "Really painful, i had a cortizone injection 2 weeks ago, but it has flared up again this past week" " I am on way to the hospital for another injection in the side of my wrist this time" I said "Well i hope they sort it for you, and it settles"
I then asked " Are you moving again Denis?" Yeah, he replied. Living in rented prperty you cant settle down"
I then asked him for Nigel, if he had received a multi signed book from my friend Nigel? He said " I cant remember getting one sent to me" I said oh as he sent it to you here and he has asked me to ask if i could pick it up, and i could then return it to him. "Sorry, but i have not received any books" He said. Sorry Nigel but i did try mate. It would seem it is lost:(
I then bid him a fond goodbye as this will be rhe last time i meet the KING at his door:( I figure i have knocked on him enough now:) Then he drove off to the hospital:)
