Yesterday brought another Harry Potter reply and this time a success with Jim Broadbent returnng my picture of him as Professor Horace Slughorn duly signed. A difficult picture to sign too with the colouring but he used a blue marker which helped.

Great actor and nice guy. Has been a good friend to ttmers over the years, so not surprised he used a good colour for your picture. Big respect for stars like Jim who care about their fans.

He is a great actor and has played not just  a lot of parts I have really enjoyed but a huge range too. One of the reasons I like Harry Potter is that it is just loaded with great British actors in every part. We went to the HP Studios recently and there was an interview with Chris Columbus saying that some directors who were considered wanted an American Hermione and cheerleaders at the Quidditch, but all that would have killed it as it's a very British series, so he insisted on Brits throughout.
