We have snow here in Hull, I have to say, I hate the stuff!  Cold, wet, slippery and pointless.

Cold but snow free in my bit of Herts so far, which is good as I am heading into London for a book signing at Canary Wharf at lunchtime. Cliff Jones and Terry Dyson from the Spurs 61 side are signing the commemorative book '61 : The Spurs Double'. Hope they have a price promotion as it retails for £30 - gulp. Then it's back home to cook the turkey and trimmings for the missus and daughter.

Hello Steve  -- the winter weather can be dreadful, particularly for older people.  During the last big freeze, we spent winter a bit of time clearing pathways and  sorting out shopping for older people and making sure that they were safe warm and secure -- and in some instances dealing with frozen pipes and making sure that they had water.  Very often, behind the christmas card winter scenes of glistening snow and picturesque vistas can be a reality of loneliness, isolation hardship.

no snow yet but freezing cold and its coming. winter brings a lot of hardship for people so anyone who has any elderly on disabled people near by should ask if they ok when the snows set in as they cannot get to the shops so they tend to be very cold, hungry and lonely and 5mins can be the difference between life and death, hurry up summer..

I love the snow when it first settles and no one has made any prints. But being a milkman....it is the worst thing for us. Not yet snowing in MK but spare a thought for me when it does. Nothing stops the milk getting through!!

Nothing here in Inverness surprisingly but I was working further east towards Aberdeen today and the have had a good dump of snow over there . They can keep it .

Thankfully still no snow in West Yorkshire and I hope it stays that way, the snow looks so much nicer in North Yorkshire 🙂

Nothing to report from Surrey yet on the snow front but have a thought for me as im a greenkeeper and it is not pleasant for us either ,-4 today when i set off for work:(,on another note my Mum is in the north east Scotland and they have plenty of the white stuff

If the BBC weather report for my area is right we will not get any snow in the next 5 days. That's jinxed it! It will snow overnight now. 🙂

Snowed all day today up here , the A9 ( the main road south from Inverness ) is covered with snow so it looks like there will be no visit to Paradise for me tomorrow :_|
