Nigel - you say he is great to his fans. He may be good ttm but in my experience, not very good in person. A few years ago he was in Milton Keynes in panto, and he did a promotion evening before Xmas for his childrens books. All his books for sale were pre signed. I bought 5 of his books myself. As he was leaving I asked him politely if he would mind signing my panto flyer. His reply was a blunt "no" and he walked off. He even blanked a few children on his way out which was worse. Not the best panto either!!

ive heard similar stories of him being arkward in person too,cant remember who told me though
