Just wanted to introduce myself and the clue to my collecting habits is in my moniker, i.e. football!  I used to edit The Football Collector and Historian fanzine which covered all aspects of memorabilia collecting and provided me with lots of interest and contacts.  Now I tend to concentrate on autographs and in particular players from the sixties and seventies - a golden era indeed.  I'm afraid that my technical knowledge is something akin to that of a gnat, hence the reason I don't send scans of my successes, hope that you understand - although I have been commenting on others results and have tried to help when I can.  Good luck to everyone with their collections
