I spoke to an employee of the club today and it is unlikely the game will go ahead..on the advice of the Police....It will class "A" Category match with the bill for policing the game alone set at £15,000 plus...the club have been asked to look at other alternatives...Hope to keep you posted 😞

What a shame if it does not happen - that would be a belter of a friendly.

Amongst Watford's usual friendlies at non-league clubs, they are also visiting AFC Wimbledon and Brentford this summer which I may try to get to, family permitting.

I'm sorry to hear that Alex I hope they change their minds . Celtic usually take a huge travelling support for these friendlies so I can understand the cost of policing them . Fingers crossed it goes ahead .

Your right Brian..It's not only the groud that has to be policed but the town centre where all the pubs are etc etc..and it will be a lenghty job as the Celtc fans tend to turn up the day before and stay till the day after.
