An interesting mix of people this week.
The QI Annual HB 2007 signed by Stephen Fry - £1.50
I have a lot of time for Stephen, a remarkable man, so nice to find something else signed by him.
The History Of The Supremes HB 1/1 2008 signed by Mary Wilson - £1.50
Lovely book - unread, just some slight edge wear to dj.
One Flew Over The Clubhouse HB 1/1 1993 by Tom O'Connor - £1
Second signed book I have found for him, and have also had a ttm reply in the past. A funny man.
The best find is the fourth find, and only picked up yesterday. I think the size of the book fooled the usual dealers and collectors as by the time I looked around there were plenty of gaps on the book shelves. Someone missed a brilliant bargain - not me.
Football Is My Business HB 1/1 1946 by Tommy Lawton - £1
Could not believe my luck when I looked inside this and saw the signature. 68 year old signed book from a footy legend! The book is missing the dj, but I see from looking online it should be easy enough to source an unsigned book with dj. The book has an excellent interior for it's age. Of special note is that this is the true 1st edition from July 1946. Most I have seen online are reprints from 1947 and 1948. A brilliant addition to my signed football collection.

He is definitely a great man Rob. The one time I wrote to him I talked about bi-polar disorder which is something my wife has in common with him. I put together a picture showing two images of him hoping to reflect the different sides of manic depression. He picked up on this, and signed the dark half in silver, and the lighter half in black. It remains a favourite reply.
