FIRST NAME ON THE SHIRT....

Recently started a new project re sending out a replica united 1977 cup final shirt out to various members

of the winning team, sent it out on its first journey last Tuesday to Arthur Albiston and recieved it back signed

today, its only got one sig but im loving the shirt already :-x

cheers to the people who have helped me out with addys you know who you are:-D  thank you !!

also the shirt is the thicker/heavier type material used for shirts back in the day and thus creases very easily

so any tips re ironing greatly appreciated, thanks again people

Brilliant start Carl - looks awesome.

Spooky stuff. I was thinking about creased shirts this morning, and safe ways to iron without damaging the shirt and/or signatures. Most gents of the game treat shirts with care and fold them, but I have had a couple come back crumpled in the reply envelope. I have been loathe to do anything yet other than hang them to see if they improve over time. Add to this that I hate ironing, so never go near one, and I am totally ignorant regarding the effects of ironing anything. 🙂

Nice start too a great project look forward too seeing it fill up:)

On the ironing front i have ironed a couple of signed shirts i put 3 sheets of newspaper on top of a tea towel or similar and lay this on top of my shirt and had no problems so far but this is at the owners risk.Brown paper is better than newspaper though.

Great success Carl and nice to know Sue is allowing you some time off from doing the housework to let you do a bit of ttm'ing.

By the way, marigolds are buy 1 get 1 free in Tesco's. They'll keep your hands silky soft whilst washing the pots.

Im sure the shirt will look great once complete Carl, the jitters will hit you once you have a few on it....but keep with it as certainly pays off
