Disappointing Chelsea Fc failure

Arrived home tonight to be greeted by an envelope containing all my Chelsea requests to John Terry, Cesc Fabregas and last seasons request to John Obi Mikel returned unsigned with a letter saying that Chelsea no longer sign items sent in.
This is really disappointing as since I started re-collecting autographs again at the beginning of the 2009-10 football season, Chelsea have been the one 'big' team who have consistently replied and players signed items sent in. Clearly this has now come to an end.

Football autographing in general has become so much more difficult over the last year or two as well. When I first started collecting again, 85% of request came back signed, including those from Man City, Man United, Chelsea and Everton. Less than half came back last season. Getting autographs in person has also become a nightmare with security everywhere, even at training grounds.

Would be interesting if any of you who collect current footballers autographs agree?

Thanks guys

That's a big disappointment. There have been some excellent replies from Chelsea posted on here so it's a shame they've changed their policy.

This season I sent about a dozen requests to Man.United and ive got nothing back last year I sent about six got nothing . I don't think I will bother anymore because its to much of a hassle to get stamps ( as I live in Ireland ) and the attitude of some of the players really annoys me

Loads of clubs are the same now and are the same when you get them in person. When I got man united earlier in the season, they brought eight security guys with them, who herded them into the hotel. Pogba to his credit came across and signed as did Herrera but they were the only ones.
TTM wise, the only Man U ones I've had back over the last couple of years are from Smalling and Shaw. They used to be brilliant (as did Chelsea) but have obviously changed their policy. It's a shame and a sad indictment of the way football seems to be at the moment.
