Sent my Sport FDC, photos and index card to Derek Underwood via Kent CCC on 10/2 and received all back signed today 23/3.

Derek Underwood was a medium paced spin bowler who played first class cricket for Kent from 1963-87. He was known as "Deadly". When the wicket was damp/wet he was the master bowler on this type of wicket.

He played 676 matches for Kent, taking 2,465 wickets with best figures of 9/28. He also had a top score of 111. His test career spanned the years 1966-82, playing in 86 tests, taking 297 wickets with best figures of 8/51.

In 1981 he was awarded the MBE.
