Charity Shop Find

I bought this for £9.95 but, is it ok? I just couldn't leave knowing it could be the real deal. If it isn't then I can take comfort in making a nice little donation to charity.

Cary Grant was a spokesman for Faberge and this print was taken at one of the do's.

WoW!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a find Suzanne. I'd have snapped that up too.

Like you said if it's not real then the charity shop have had a nice donation but with the dedication, Inscription and having a quick look around i'd edge on being genuine ..Just my opinion...Nigel will have a good idea.You  could be a few hundred quid better off. Pleased for you.

I really hope this is real as it would be the best ever charity shop find I have seen reported on a forum.

I do not know enough about his signature, but do know there were secretarials for him, but to what extent I do not know. He would have been in his mid 70s when this was signed based on the date.

Is there any provenance as to whether this was received via the mail or anything that could indicate it was signed in person? Maybe someting on the rear of the picture in the frame?

It maybe worth trying the guys at isitreal.com for an opinion?

I asked in the shop where it came from and they said it was at the bottom of a box of items someone donated. They don't know who though.

The back of the photo has a stamp which says, "John Neal Photographer. Serving the international press & television". Plus an address for the company.

Knowing my luck, it's probably too good to be true but, I wasn't going to take the risk, especially at that price.

looking at a couple of known secs both have the c partially  looped but not as fully as yours,and i lean towards genuine...hope i'm right
