I have sent out a few letters lately and got a great reply day today.

Got his autograph on the team photo Glyn Pardoe had signed together with some cards and a Shoot picture.Mike also sent back a dedicated photo as well.

John Ritson ex Bolton-took two weeks to reply

John Ritson played as a defender in the Football League in the 1960s and 1970s, most notably for Bolton Wanderers.He made his league debut in the 1967-68 season. He went on to play 324 league matches for the club, and was a member of the promotion-winning team of 1977-78.

However, following a contractual dispute he moved to Bury in the late 1970s and made over 40 league appearances for them, before moving into non-league football with Southport. Ritson made 12 appearances for Southport in 1980/81

Final reply was from Arthur Stewart a former Derby player living back in Ireland.I liked his note on the postcard I sent for him to sign.

Arthur Stewart who played for Glentoran, Derby County and Ballymena United in the 1960s and 1970s. He won seven full international caps for Northern Ireland as well as five amateur caps and five inter-league caps for the Irish League

Fantastic day for you Rob. I think Mike is fantasic - he always has time for people who write to him, and replies quickly. What a lovely note back from Arthur - it's nice to trigger a response like that. Some of my best responses have come from the retired people I wrte to, and some correspond afterwards also.
