New glasses very wise mousie! I’m 4 years overdue, detatched retinas are imminent so I must get some soon! I do indeed know where to get MOT but will I be able to find it??

Free Falling - Tom Petty

My glasses renewal is also long overdue.  But the slug talk has cost me loads as one damaged the circuit board in my washing machine and cost me loads for a new one.  Repair man says its quite common .  Pellets calling.

Recovering from 3 grandkids birthdays this month, money and energy done in.  Still 2 more before the end of the year.

Free Woman - Lady Gaga

(Afternoon my lovelies... Wow Bonnie, sorry to hear about your washing machine open_mouth An expensive slug indeed unamused Danlyncand... Glad your baccy is OK relieved I think you may need to book that appointment with the optician soon or Little will be the only one able to show the way to the MOT center 🤣🤣 I've made chicken with roasties & veg following by apple pies with cinnamon ... sending them over everyone... enjoy grinning)

Black Magic Woman - Santana

(slugs don’t come cheap eh bonnie 😮 I found one upstairs the other day, not good!
Thanks for the feed mousie 🙂 I was hungry!! Baccy may be safely gathered in but it isn’t safe from my smoking habit and neither, it has to be said, am I 🙂 mot is tomorrow and the irony is, I must wait till I know how much it’ll cost before I splash out on new glasses. True, I could get the free eye test then use the prescription for super cheap online specs but I haven’t got the nerve to do that to the poor struggling massive retail chain of opticians 🙂 )

Woman in Love - Barbra Streisand

(Afternoon peeps - A brief interlude of sunny weather before the rain starts again relieved Hope everyone else is getting some sun too 🌞 I have just eaten a salad with home grown toms & cucumbers 😋 I wish I'd attempted lettuce too as I wonder if that too tastes better if home grown too.... I added some shredded crab sticks & cheese to make it a little more interesting grin

I hope your car has passed with flying colours today Danlyncand as in order to drive well I would say new glasses are quite important grinning

It has been a few years now since I finally managed to give up smoking, but even now I still get the urge...  in fact just writing that has made me want one... I don't trust myself to have 'just one' as I am pretty sure one will become a 20-a-day habit unamused)

No Woman No Cry - Bob Marley & Wailers

(afternoon mousie and calling all peeps 🙂 NO!! NEVER HAVE JUST ONE!!! 😱😱😱😱😱😱 I gave up in 2003, total success until I “just had one” in 2009! The idea was, I bought a pack of 10 in a petrol station & was going to leave the other 9 in the box at a bus station for a lucky tramp to find BUT I just had one per hour on the 3 hour drive, then had an absolutely last one ever when I got back, then one out the bedroom window before bed, then 2 after bed, then I went out and bought some rolling baccy, and have smoked like a chimney for 11 3/4 years since to date. The mind played tricks all the way e.g. exactly which bus stop was I planning to leave the other 9 at, as I drove straight home at night on the motorway?? Hmmm??? One side of the brain will readily con the other side when it thinks it’s getting cigs!!! NEVER JUST HAVE ONE!!!!! Did you notice the exclamation marks???? Just saying 😱
Mr. car failed the mot but to the tune of leaving some specs money BUT he has a dodgy drive shaft that must be replaced sooner on pain of great knackerage 🙂
The rain arrived sans soleil 🙂

Cry For Help - Rick Astley

(laughing Yep, totally get the 10 ciggy journey with the devil/angel shoulders... it took me so many attempts at quitting before I eventually woke up one morning & decided that I would never smoke again, bit weird how it works really.

Sorry Mr car didn't pass cry but glad to hear it's not so bad that you are devoid of new specs funds triumph

It is tipping down again now so the sun was short lived. I'm hoping for an Indian summer 🤞

I think that Little is still having Internet trouble, or the postie has nicked her new hub unamused)

Sad Old Red - Simply Red

(I say what ho everyone 🙂 littleeeeeeeeeee indeed good to know you’re connected up once more! Shame printers are so awkward nowadays hrmph It was once possible to mark out sheet metal from a blueprint by scanning it, printing it out, cutting out the bit you wanted and sticking it to the metal, then you could cut round it and drill through the holes. Nowadays when you print it out it’s slightly smaller than the original which cocks the whole thing up! Hrmph. A sunny day in part 🙂
Sounds a fine cabaret mousie if a trifle scary 🙂
My daughter is here 🙂 so now the washing machine is going, an extra pair of socks 🧦 has appeared in the basket 🙂 🧺

(Woman Very Happy Good afternoon Mousie and Danlyncand. Oo, sun a shineth in my sky, hope the same for you both. Woman Very Happy Warm enough as well to not have the heating on. More savings for future cake ingredients. innocent

Nice you got the bit of tan at the seaside Mousie Woman Very Happy  did you build a sandcastle? innocent Shame about that to-do at the carvery Woman Frustrated  hope it didn't ruin your meal with the bad atmosphere when all that happened.

Red Light Spells Danger - Billy Ocean

(Afternoon Little, Danlyncand & Bonnie if she's about - it has been a lovely day today. Lots of sun with a little breeze. I've washed all the sheets & curtains upstairs as you never can tell when it all comes to an end & then you can't get them dry so indeed a nice saving for the cake pot wink

LOL! No I didn't build a sandcastle, but that's made me remember when I was little & me & my brother would make a boat & wait for the tide to come in... we always expected the boat to keep the water out, but of course it never did grinning

Are you both in Wales? If so I hope you've not gone into lockdown again... I heard something about Wales & thought it may be near Danlyncand.  Mind you I think it's all going a bit weird here again from Monday onwards...  🙄

Hope all internet & printers are still working well... & extra socks are still paired up wink my machine seems to eat them, but only one at a timegrin)

Red Red Wine - UB40

(Woman Very Happy Good afternoon Mousie, hope some sun there, and fingers crossed Danlyncand and Bonnie have some too. Really nice today, a little breeze as well. Washing will dry that's for sure.

Wow you were a busy bee the other day Mousie Woman Surprised  so today you can have a day of rest. Woman Very Happy

Yep great about the cake pot being filled more. Woman Very Happy Lovely memories those times with your Brother Woman Very Happy fun in remembering. I loved going to look in the little pools of water between the rocks to see how many little crabs I could find. Only two that I remember though. I can still smell in mind the seaweed. Woman Very Happy

Me not in Wales but in Lancashire more lockdowns as from Monday, also some as now prior. Hope to goodness more and more do as asked, all the best for everyone to keep everyone as safe as can be.

Oo, socks disappear as fast as teaspoons. Woman Surprised No idea where the spoons go after time, but they certainly vanish. Hmm, wonder if Mousie has been dropping in on her rope to snatch then run. Woman SurprisedWoman LOL)

Red Roses for a Blue Lady Dean Martin

(Afternoon my lovelies upon this very lovely day grinning Oo the sun is hot ... my watch strap white tan line has been made more striking this morning with a top up grin

Yes I was a busy bee & did indeed need a rest Little. I needed another rest yesterday after maybe doing a little more gardening than I should have, but all working again today relieved

I liked, & still do like rock pools too. Did you try to catch tiddlers with a little net grin I used to pop them in my bucket <poor things> Also we used to 'borrow' some bacon & tie it to the end of a string & try to catch crabs off the jetty. I don't remember ever actually getting one in my bucket as even if one attached itself to the string it would always fall off before it got to the bucket... they must have got so fed up with it that they knew when to let go grinning

Ah you are the in England too then <I'm London/Essex borders> , yes more rules as of tomorrow 🙄 I wish people would be more careful of others. So selfish some are.

Oo cousin Bob plays the spoons... hmmm I will ask if he's been on his 'travels' lately wink)

(Good afternoon Mousie 'n all. Woman Very Happy Hope some of the nice sunshine as is in my sky now. Woman Very Happy30c yesterday, I nearly melted. innocent Nice you have been getting the lovely weather too Mousie. Hope your cheese stash hasn't melted. Woman Surprised

Yep, such fun it was collecting little tiddlers in nets Woman Very Happy  although I always let them go. I can remember as well trying to get limpets off the side of the little rocks in the pools, but wow they were stuck fast that's for sure.

Hopefully more now are adhering to the new laws set, so hope they do as only fair to all to take as many precaussions as can be, keeping safe. Ahaa, hope cousin Bob has 'found' my lost spoons. Woman Very Happy)
