This is not a *slimming club* really.

I think it would be nice to have a place to come & chat about weight loss ideas (safe sensible ones only please!),
to share personal experiences and achievements, and also to ask for help.

Lindi is our resident expert, and has kindly offered her help.
Just introduce yourself and come on in, you are most welcome!

Hi Lindiloo (and everyone else)

I've not posted for a while. Too much stressful 'stuff' going on at home, and tbh The Nags head hasn't been somewhere i wanted to be! Thats not to say i haven't missed some people here though. And i have been lurking so i know all the comings & goings (mostly)

I just wanted to say, i joined WW 2 weeks ago and i LOVE it!! I lost 4 lbs last weds, and am going again tomorrow night.

I cant believe how much food i'm eating. Its all much healthier than before, and i'm eating everything i want basically 🙂 I've grabbed this one by the horns (so to speak), and will keep updating you all with my progress.

Take care xxx

Hi Everyone

Sparkle & Jay - good luck for later, let us know how it goes.

Claire - that's why I love WW, you can eat a massive main meal but as long as you're careful it can come in at under 5 points!

I'm just back from my weigh in - not good news - 1lb on. 1st time, I've ever put on.

I knew I'd had a bad week - I'd not been writing stuff down and had a major choc binge (all WW bars - just loads of them) - it's "that" week.

Never mind, get refocussed for next week and make sure I write everything down.

I've put 1.5 lbs on. Not done anything different although have been to the gym more than usual, although that shouldn't have made a difference.

Still, going on holiday soon so the diet will have to take a back seat anyway.

Me thinks I'll start again when I get back.

Hi guys.

I need some advice if you don't mind!

I've been dieting since March, and have lost 2 stone 3 pounds, but for the past two weeks have been stuck at the same weight and it is beginning to get a bit disheartening.

I know I shouldn't let it get me down, but it does, as the only way I can keep on the regime is if I am seeing results.

I am not cheating, and if anything, am eating less than in the beginning. It is really annoying, especially with the 2.5 stone milestone within touching distance.

Thanks, and well done everyone, this thread is really helping me.

xx

That makes 3 of us! (Ooooop's)

I put on a pound this week (too)!!!!
Hmmmmm slapped wrist time now (for me at least lol)
I WILL write everything down this week & every week after!
Cerials every morning (NO peanut butter on buttered toast)
No Peanut butter
NO butter at all
NO take away(s)
& trashed it all by not writing it all down.
Never mind! Just a blip!
Back to being focussed, tomorrows another new day & feeling more determined now!
Good luck everyone, we'l soon get that extra bit back off again!

Hi gamgees girl
What sort of plan are you on?

Sparkle & Jay - I feel a lot better knowing it's not just me. Def going to write stuff down again - it's the first week I've not and look what happens.

Gamgees Girl - 2 stone 3lb in 2 months is a lot to loose. Well done. Your body's probably readjusting. You will find the loss tends to level off once you've lost quite a bit and reduce to maybe 1lb a week or so.

What diet are you doing?

Hi Lily

Me too lol (felt better after reading your posts)!
If my calculations are correct, we have gained 1/4 of a stone between us! tut tut!
How's about we have a daily report of our points/sins for one week to keep us all on track?
Just a thought!
It might encourage us more (maybe) lol.
Either way, here's to a good weight loss week!

1/4 stone - OMG.

Daily check in sounds a good idea. I'm going back to work on Friday which is sort of good as I'll be back into a routine rather than just eating when I feel like it!

A daily report sounds great but I won't be able to join in until the middle of June as going away.

The consultant wanted me to continue with the SW plan whilst on holiday but I don't think I will - this will be my last holiday for a while and I want to make the most of it. I'll just close my eyes when I get back on the scales afterwards lol.

Morning Sparkle.

Going to Butlins next week - can't wait! I love it there so much (live there if I could). They have all you can eat so yep, I do have all I can eat :0).

Only thing that worries me is my brother is staying in my house whilst I'm away - what's the betting I come back to a bombsite? lol!

Oooooooo can I join in on this daily report thing?

I haven't had my weigh-in yet, that's next Monday, we didn't have one this week cos of Bank Holiday.

TBH I(hope) I haven't done too badly. Went to the cinema on Friday but made sure went to Boots beforehand and took in a sneaky shapers sandwich LOL. 😉

I suppose my only downfall this bank holiday weekend was a McChicken sandwich meal, maybe 5-6 bags of crisps and about 10 shots of southern comfort. :_|

I’m trying to do some damage limitation this week and have been to the gym every day since Monday doing intense cardio-vascular. I really really want to see a good weight loss this week so fingers crossed!

I’ll start off with what I had this morning;

1 bowl of Special K = 1½
¼ pint of semi-skimmed milk = ½

Will report back for lunch! 🙂

Good morning everyone

Think I started a downward spiral last week when I gained the first lb. My weigh in is tonight so hopefully I have shifted it again (not too hopeful though).

Sparkle, good idea about recording our points/sins on here. I have 20 points per day and so far I have used 2 for my cereal. I have a sandwich and WW yoghurt for my lunch which amount to 4, so a total of 6 which leaves me 14 for evening meal and snack although I try to save at least 4.

Keeping fingers crossed for weigh in later.

Morning everyone,

Can I ask a quick question? How many points/calories are there in 2 slices of brown toast with marmite?

Also, Does anyone know if there are any calories in fruit tea? there is no info on the packet.

Thanks and have a good day,

Rachel

Hi Rachael

If it's "normal" bread theres 1 point per slice. Some like Warberton's wholegrain (my fav!) have 1.5 per slice. WW breads only have 1/2 point.

Marmite is free as is tea and coffee.

I think you either love 'em or hate 'em.

I don't like the white or brown but the malted one is lovely. It's made by Warbertons (whose bread I like anyway).
