This is not a *slimming club* really.

I think it would be nice to have a place to come & chat about weight loss ideas (safe sensible ones only please!),
to share personal experiences and achievements, and also to ask for help.

Lindi is our resident expert, and has kindly offered her help.
Just introduce yourself and come on in, you are most welcome!

I'm doing really well this week, managed approx 45 speed foods this week, trying to beat the current level of 70 in one week.

Got two days left to cram in at least 25. Finding it really easy.

(got a competition going at SW this week to fit in as many speed foods as possible in one week).

Hi I have just found this group and hope someone can help me. I love bread and potatoes but when I have had a sandwich for lunch for instance I feel very tired soon after I also feel very tired after my evening meal meat and 2 veg or something similar. I like sweet things too but a while after I have a horrible taste in my mouth. I think I know what the problem is I should not eat sugary things bread or potatoes but I want to know if anyone else experiences these feelings and whats the best eating plan I could try I have tried weight watchers, slimming world and various other diets but not very successfully. I have a family 3 sons all young adults and a husband, 3 of us need to loose weight, but the son who eats the most is the slimmest and fittest of us all. If there was only me and my husband I just would not buy half the things I do but the boys are always asking what is there to eat and to be honest they are not impressed with celery, apples and carrot sticks. I basically know the theory of what to eat and what no but need the motivation and energy to devise a plan and stick to it. Can anyone please help me.

Never heard of just4weeks, sorry.

archerymaidmarion - I do slimming world, which I see you've tried, so can't really suggest anything, sorry. I personally follow a vegan diet and have found that since I started it my energy levels have gone up. Very strict though so not ideal for everyone, especially if you love meat obviously lol.

I'm still cramming in as many speed foods as possible, now on 67! Hope I win after all this effort 🙂

morning everyone,

I have been reading all the messages to try to get myself motivated and I think everyone seems very friendly and encouraging I did a quiz on AOL Health site yesterday and it seems I am an emotional eater and slightly depressed which is probably why I find making decisions hard at the moment. I am however going to restart the weight watchers diet counting points and try to cut out the bread, sugary things and cut down on potatoes. I am hoping that by being in contact with other fellow 'weight challenged', ha ha, people I might actually succeed this time rather than just rely on the weekly meetings which I did not find very inspirational sometimes.

Hi everyone. Sorry not been in touch - manged to break my home pc and this is the 1st time I could get space at the library (off work on hol - back tom).

I've had a couple of weeks off WW - not being going totally mad but not being particularly good. Dreading weigh-in tomorrow.

Hope you've all been good!

Maid Marion - have you been checked for food intolerances? A pal of mine was having weight problems and it turns out she's intolerant to wheat. Now she's stopped eatting pasta, bread etc, the weight's fallen off and she feels 1000% better (was really tired all the time etc). Might be worth looking into.

Gotta go, time's almost up.

Went to SW last night and only lost 1/2 lb! All those speed foods too, arghhhh!!!

I didn't win the highest speed food amount, the winner managed a massive 142! I was stupid and didn't split mine up into portions to count them like she did, I just counted them once a day.

If I had I would have managed around 210. Oops.

She won a free week and a green recipe book. Ho hum, never mind.

Good luck for this week everyone.

Hi everyone, have to go to WI tonight. I have two friends in work who are also doing WW, one has lost nearly 2st and the other only needed to lose 10lb and now is at her goal weight. I had to laugh today, the one that is thin and only needed to lose 10lb told me to buy jelly babies as there are no points in them. I said there's no way, so we checked her bag which contained 353cal and no saturated fat per 100g which worked out at approx 4½points. The bag is 225g, so roughly for a bag it would be 9/10 points. She thought because there was no saturated fat then there was no points!!! I nearly fell off my chair laughing.

LOL Redmary!

Amazingly I lost 1/2lb in the 2 weeks I've been "off" WW. Really stumpted how, it will probably catch up with me next week.

Amber - that's fantastic, huge well done to you.

Sparkle - better than putting on! Try 2 points less per day for a couple of weeks - my leader advised this & it kick started my loss.

Jay - aaaarrrrgh - I don't understand how diets work sometimes, you can be really good & stay the same or bad and loose.

Emma - can I ask how old you are if you're doing GCSE's?
