This is not a *slimming club* really.

I think it would be nice to have a place to come & chat about weight loss ideas (safe sensible ones only please!),
to share personal experiences and achievements, and also to ask for help.

Lindi is our resident expert, and has kindly offered her help.
Just introduce yourself and come on in, you are most welcome!

Been following weightwatchers for 2 weeks now, today was my weigh in and i have lost 6 pounds this week making a total of 9 so far. Really pleased and now hoping for a steady weightloss of around 1 - 2 pounds a week. Had a session with personal trainer at the gym today also as she gave me a programme to follow, bl***y exhausted lol.

I'm just back from the gym 😄

I burned 300 calories and celebrated by getting myself a tuna melt for lunch.

Hi everyone, Hope you don't mind me joining in, I'm not looking to lose weight particularly although I have put 10kg on since starting taking the pill. (is that a lot? I weigh 10stone and am 5ft 7" approx - sorry for the mixed measurements - the 10kg was the drs reading) I really want to improve my general health and get motivated to cook proper food rather than quick junk. I also want to start going to the gym again, if i can find one i can afford. Any tips on motivation to go to the gym? Good luck to everyone, I think its great the support available on this board and everyone helping people 🐵

If your gym has a jacuzzi or sauna you could make that your reward at the end of it all 🙂

I'm motivated by the little display telling me how many calories I'm burning, and the lovely power shower at the end of it 😄

Also by the fact that I bought a fantastic pair of jeans not too long ago and I can't fasten the top two buttons. I blame the Pill, but I refuse to have a giant ass. So there.

Thanks, as i said i'm not too worried about the weight i've put on, as long as i don't keep putting more on, I guess what i really want is a flatter tum! I think all the weight is there :o(

None of my old jeans do up now and i can't find any i like that fit properly - think i'll just have to stick to black trousers i'm obviously the wrong shape for jeans.

The display might motivate me, I always used to like to see how far I would have got if it was a real bike or whatever, its the motivation for actually getting to the gym i'm lacking at the moment! mmmm, power shower, that might work 🐵

Hello everyone. It's supposed to be my Slimming World night tomorrow but I won't be able to go because I'm working until 8. It's a real shame because I'd love to know how much I've lost - but I don't recommend the Kidney Infection Method to anyone! It was a bit of a battle to eat sensibly at times cos all I really wanted was icecream! I'm pretty sure I've had a decent weight loss this week as I can now get my uniform trousers on and off without undoing them! (Must point out though that they were always huge around my waist as it's my bum and tum that are my worst bits.)With a bit of luck and determination, I hope to be buying new ones very soon - preferably before they start falling down.

Or if you can't stop buying them, give them to the dog. Or put the packet in a plastic bag and smash it with a hammer! Or drop them into a sink full of washing up water.

(Or send them to me for when I'm being bad)

Hi All

Not posted since the beginning of this thread (some of you may remember the long list hehe)!

I think I'm finally getting my head round the fact that I need to lose about a stone. It hasn't been a good couple of weeks for me....I go back to work on Monday after 6months maternity leave & I'm finding that a bit hard to deal with at the moment.

I said in my earlier post that I have got a wardrobe full of nice jackets/trousers etc but can't get back into them yet. I had to go into town today & blew £160 on new clothes for work and thats made me really mad.

As from tomorrow (Fri) I will be going for a weekly 'weigh-in' at Boots with my Mum & Sister. About 4 years ago I went on the Slimfast diet and lost just over 2 stone, which I managed to keep off (until now), so I am going to try that again as it worked for me first time round.

I am also looking at getting some form of exercise equipment to use at home. I'm not sure what to get...a bike, rower, walker, treadmill...so would be grateful of any advice.

I am happy with my legs, bum etc....I just detest my stomach (or jelly belly hehe) so would like to use the right equipment that would concentrate on that area.

It is just not practical for me to join a gym due to children, work, & hubbies work...hence the reason I want some home equipment.

On a lighter note, I came across this picture on the web & this is now my incentive (& the fact that I have just watched Fat Feeders on Discovery Health..Urgh!) I'm gonna stick a copy of this on my choccie drawer in the fridge!

Take care all & good luck
