Has anyone had an email from Ebay asking to send Bank account details so that they can send payment directly instead of using Paypal.

Is this a scam.

Yes eBay are moving away from Paypal and using their own Managed Payments to your bank.

The message should be in your account as well as email sign up from your account as there are scam emails being sent which look like they are from eBay.

Hello , i have had that message, it isnt a scam.  

its ebays way of managing payment proccessing as apposed to using paypal.

you link up a bank account to ebay , and when a buyer pays ebay deduct seller fes etc all at once and pay you the profit as aposed to the monethly bill that you would get at the end seperately.

you have until april this year to update your details. 

so read through it and make sure your comfitable with it. ^^

your not sending them your bank details through message, your linking a bank account to your ebay account.
