Today was.....

Today was a good day to bury unpalatable political news. (unpalatable for the parties concerned that is).

Two notable resignations, Sir Philip Dilley and Catherine McKinnell have both resigned but the news of their demise will be buried under the news of the death of David Bowie.

I suppose when the name of either of them is mentioned it might generate "Who?" but had it not been for the untimey demise of DB it would have been headline news with umpteen no-mark reporters/commentators giving it large for ages.

Just shows you that most of the TV news reports have become so boring and uninteresting people don't watch?

It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

Both got a mention on the evening news but who really thinks Dilley resigning will make a gnats difference to those recovering from the recent floods, Likewise another resignation in the Labour party is to be expected whilst it is in the hands of left wingers hell bent on turning back the clock and in cloud cuckoo land because they are unelectable. Cameron is actually going through something similar at the other end of the spectrum, His far right gang of Little Englanders continue to show contempt for public opinion and have done since we first joined the EEC. Problem is that neither the labour left or the tory right have any idea or intention of providing peace and prosperity. So nothing newsworthy there.
