R.I.P.
Heard this morning, he'll be remembered for Gandhi, Jurassic Park and Miracle on 34th Street
Must admit He was associated with way better films than those 3

With respect stevie, I would have thought it was obvious at 90 why he has passed away. Doesn't always have to be anything medically wrong to cause it, just that his time is up so his heart stops. Age does have a habit of catching up with the bestof em in this present system of things.
A truly sad loss, as he was one of the most talented of actors IMHO, rest in peace Sir Richard. xx

He was to Film, what his Brother is to documentaries about our Planet. "Brighton Rock" was an early classic, in which he played "Pinky"..........He was only a teenager then. A lifetime passed in no more than a blink of an eye.

It does say that he'd been very frail for some time and he did suffer from either a stroke or a fall after he lost his daughter and granddaughter - sorry I cannot remember precisely, but it left him incapacitated.
David spoke of it I think last year in an article in one of the papers.
I think you'll find that it's even more remarkable that he lived to the age he has as a result.

I think he deserves the Renaissance man title of the Arts.
Not only was he this country's greatest actor director and producer of his generation, but also a life long supporter of many many charities and is also credited with saving the UK film industry.
